Hi Ma`m,
thank u for ur cmnts.the mythological story line is like this."Vyali" is a demon (Asura) having a peculiar shape and size, terrorising the entire Devaloka and no body cud kill him.Even the creator Brahma did not know how and when this feroceous creature was created.Saraswathi Devi understanding the agony of Devas offers to calm him ("Vyali-Asura') with her devine Veena Nadam. She starts her veena recital and the Demon on listening to the enchanting music, cud not help but to get deeply engrossed in that music. At this point Devi Saraswathi catches him and ties down at the end of her Veena. That is why we see the "Vyali Mukham "in every Veena instrument.
